About the Journal
The Journal of Northern Studies is published by Umeå University and the Royal Skyttean Society. It is a peer-reviewed academic publication issued twice a year with a specific focus on human activities in northern environments—how people and human culture affect, and are affected by, the environment.
Apart from scholarly articles, the journal contains book reviews, and a section with reports and information on issues relevant for Northern Studies.
