Abstract

The international, interdisciplinary conference North and Nordicity – Representations of the North was held at the Munk Centre at the University of Toronto, Canada 17–19 May, 2007, with participants from various parts of Canada, Sweden, Germany, Japan, Ireland, USA, Finland and Norway, representing art and art history departments, literature studies, linguistics, political science, anthropology, Germanic studies, communication studies, environmental studies, history, sociology, geography and Scandinavian studies.
