This Journal is a joint ad(venture) of CHS-Connect, a network of researchers from five institutions: the School of Public Health, University of Zambia (Zambia), the School of Public Health, Makerere University (Uganda), the School of Public Health, University of the Western Cape (South Africa), the School of Public Health and Social Sciences, Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (Tanzania) and the Department of Epidemiology and Global Health, Umeå university (Sweden).

We aim to enhance research capacity and competence for designing and conducting “embedded” health policy and systems research to build inclusive, socially accountable, and resilient community health systems.

We recognize the significance of journal indexing for scholars. Our goal is to have the journal included in reputable databases, including PubMed. This is a journey with several milestones that we aim to achieve as soon as possible. Rest assured, all articles published prior to indexing will be indexed retrospectively.

The Journal is published by Umeå University Library.
